How Does Forever Clear BBL Work?
As one of the most effective treatments for acne available today, blue light acne therapy is a safe and non-invasive method of treating acne. Blue light therapy targets the sebaceous glands killing the bacteria that causes acne. It also diminishes further outbreaks, allows the skin to heal faster, and has been found to reduce the need for oral antibiotics and other oral medications. Many patients see significant improvement in their acne after two to four weekly treatment sessions of blue light therapy.
What is the Typical Course of Treatment?
Blue BBL light therapy treatments are relatively quick and easy. Patients either sit or lie down during treatment and a light source is placed close to their face for about 20 minutes. Most patients do not experience pain or discomfort during exposure to the light and they can get back to their normal routine afterward.
Depending on the severity and acne treatment plan designed for you by Dr. Javid, your skin may undergo treatment with yellow BBL light to reduce the inflammation and acne-associated redness to give you healthy, luminous skin.

A series of either twice-weekly, weekly or bi-weekly blue light acne treatments is usually spread over a span of four weeks. The number, and frequency of treatments required depends on the severity of the acne and how well it responds to treatment. To maintain results after the initial series of treatments, monthly treatments are often recommended, either monthly, or every 6 months, to ensure optimal results.
